Alan White

Mornings/Cache Valley News

Alan has been in the radio business for over forty years. His career began in 1966 at KVEL AM in his hometown of Vernal, Utah. He worked there through high school, playing 45 rpm records after school and on weekends. In college he worked at KSUB-AM in Cedar City, Utah and served a stint as News and Sports Director at KDXU-AM/FM in St. George, Utah. From there he returned to KVEL for several years as News and Sports Director. He came to Idaho in 1985 as News Director at KWIK/KPKY in Pocatello while he completed a degree in Mass Communications/TV Production at Idaho State University. He took a ten year break from broadcasting to work in public relations for the Pocatello School District and for the State of Idaho.

His love of small town radio brought Alan to Preston in 1998 as the owner and manager of KACH-AM. He and Nelada are the parents of five grown children and at last count the grandparents of 13. Alan enjoys reading, camping, and Dutch oven cooking.

Mike Wade
Mike Wade
Mornings

Mike pretty much figured music would be his calling. Not so much playing drums in a rock band, but teaching Percussion at the University level. Both his parents were teachers so it seemed like a good fit.

Until a high school speech class spun his head - and his life - in a different direction. It wasn't long before he realized talking for a living beat working for a living. Getting his first job in radio helped him graduate from the University of Houston. Then he made stops in Dallas-Fort Worth, and New York, before starting a family and playing all those Hits and Favorites.

Mike still has his drums and has been known to annoy his neighbors, wife Susan, and daughter Shelly (the youngest of three girls still at home), with the occasional "if it's too loud you're too old" solo.

Donny OsmondDonny Osmond
Middays

Donny Osmond began capturing America’s heart at the age of four, joining his brothers as a regular on NBC. Soon after, The Osmonds were recording and touring internationally and Osmond-Mania swept the world. A stellar solo career ensued and was followed by hit records with his sister Marie, totaling 80 million records sold and still counting. That pairing led to the ABC launch of The Donny & Marie Show, one of the most successful variety series ever to air on American television.

Since September 2008, the duo have been performing weekly to sellout crowds at The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. Originally intended as a limited six-month engagement, their show was recently extended through 2012 due to unprecedented worldwide demand. Osmond is the current champion of Dancing with the Stars, which was seen by 35 million television viewers each week during the 2009 season. During his career, Osmond has been a singer, actor, triple-threat television series host (talk show, game show and variety show), best-selling author, commercial spokesperson, motivational speaker and even a race car driver. Reflecting his multi-generational worldwide fan base, his Web site, donny.com receives a staggering 120 million-plus hits annually.

Richard Stevens
Richard Stevens
Afternoons

From the plains of the Dakotas to the desert of the Great Southwest... from the mountains to the prairies and wherever a radio tower beckoned or a microphone screamed out his name, Richard Stevens has followed in a family tradition of connecting with listeners on the radio. Richard was born into a family of entertaining personalities; some made a career out of it (his oldest brother is radio legend and TV personality Shadoe Stevens), while others have quietly entertained family and friends for years without the need of a microphone.

Richard was a 16 year old high schooler when he started his first radio job in his hometown of Jamestown, North Dakota. His journey carried him to Palm Springs, California, where at the age of 23, he entertained retired snowbirds on the radio by playing musical greats like Sinatra, Benny Goodman, and Nat King Cole. In another life, Richard filled in for his brother as the announcer on TV's "Hollywood Squares" and went on to host radio shows on Oldies stations, Country stations, Soul/R'n'B stations, Rock stations, and various contemporary hit music stations in Los Angeles, Dallas and on the USA and ABC radio networks.

For over ten years, Richard interviewed some of the biggest stars and highest-profile newsmakers while co-hosting a syndicated news magazine plus a radio show similar to TV's "Good Morning America". In addition, nearly five years, he co-hosted an interview and lifestyle morning show on the ABC Radio Networks. Today, Richard provides information, entertainment, and music on Citadel’s AC format.

Frank Welch
Frank Welch
Overnights

It's not often that a career in cross-country trucking leads to a career in radio -- but that's how it happened to Frank Welch. "It's true," he says. "I was listening to a lot of radio stations while driving around the country. My thought was, 'I could do better than that!' so I jumped into it." Today, Frank's definition of "drive time" has changed. The road to us wound its way through a variety of radio stations including Dallas stations KCDU-FM, KLUB-FM and KVIL-FM. "I've done basically every on-air job you can do: jock, studio news reporter, street reporter, traffic reporter, sports reporter and more." These experiences have brought Frank news honors, including the Dallas Press Club's "KATY" Award and the Dallas U.P.I. Award. Frank believes he has an impact on his listeners because he genuinely enjoys his job. "I have a lot of fun on the air and I really believe that if you're having fun at something, people respond positively to you."

Bobby MitchellBobby Mitchell

"The Saturday 80's Show"

Bobby Mitchell believes that the music from the 80's is the best music, period. "However," he says, "I don't think the 80's dance moves stand the test of time quite as well!" Bobby lays out the red carpet for all your favorite 80's nuggets each Saturday, and while he believes he has assembled the world's greatest arsenal of 80's music… well, it could always use a little tweaking. And that's where YOU come in! So get your legwarmers and headbands out of storage and give Bobby a call or text with your request!

During the days of Pac-Man, perms and shoulder-pads, Bobby Mitchell was playing the hits in Kansas City (Q104), Detroit (Power 96) and Houston (KKHT). The 90's sent him to the legendary Y-100 in Miami. The past two years, Bobby has worked out of his home studio doing voiceovers for film, TV and radio. The Saturday 80's Show is Bobby's way of getting out of the house - into the radio station – and having some fun playing the hits again!

E-mail: debbie@djmail.net

Music Lover Debbie Douglas began her radio career in 1980 at a small radio station in South Texas, "I thought I was gonna be the next Barbara Walters", but soon found that news was not my passion...it was and still is music! I left there after just a year and began a long radio career in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. I worked for the 100,000 watt blowtorch of South Texas, 99.5 KISS. I worked my way from overnights to Music Director and mid-days where I had a wonderful ride for 12 years! I also worked for KZ-100 (A/C) and KZEP (Classic Rock).

In the D/FW market I've worked at the classic rocker 92.5 KZPS (evening personality), KOAI (Smooth Jazz format), KKDL (dance format) and currently for Citadel Media where I enjoy working with various formats, including “Timeless” and one that airs in Guatemala! So, as you can see, my music tastes are well rounded. I'm also a voice over talent and you may have even heard my voice while waiting "on hold" somewhere!
